POSTING POLICY

The AEFAA site is designed to enable members to share work-related information and network with each other virtually. The site includes pages where approved members are able to post comments, questions, answers, items for sale, employment opportunities, files and other media. This policy provides guidance for these interactions.

If there is a contravention of this policy, the site administrator reserves the right to remove the post and the member will be informed as to how the post was contrary to the policy. If there are repeat offences, the site administrator will bring the matter to the Executive.

General

  • General workplace norms apply on this website. Members should keep in mind that all posts are open to all site members and your actions reflect both on the AEFAA and your employer.

  • Members are personally responsible for the content they publish.

  • All posts should be respectful of the AEFAA, its executive, its members and their organizations.

  • No profane, derogatory, discriminatory, intimidating or harassing comments or materials will be tolerated.

  • This forum is not appropriate for political debate.

  • Promotion of false or defamatory information is contrary to this policy.

  • Excessive unnecessary posting will not be permitted as this can negatively impact other members’ experience. Members are encouraged to connect directly with each other if they wish to pursue private conversations that would not be relevant to other members.

  • Members’ privacy must be respected at all times.

Buy and Sell

The intent of this section is for members to post surplus items available for sale by their district that other districts may be interested in purchasing.

  • Members may not post any personal items or advertise services on this site.

  • Posts should be removed once an item is sold. The site administrator will remove any items that have been posted for longer than 4 months.

Employment Opportunities

The intent of this section is for members to post employment opportunities available within their district that other members may have interest in.

  • Members may not post any personal items or advertise positions that are not related to the mandate of the AEFAA.

  • Posts should be removed once the competition is closed. The site administrator will remove any positions that have expired.

File Share

The File Share section enables members to share and access policies, procedures and plans with other AEFAA members.

  • Before uploading a file, members must ensure they have permission to share it with this community (this includes avoiding any copyright and other intellectual property laws). If there are any restrictions on use of the file, be sure they are clearly indicated. Do not upload confidential information.

  • All uploaded files must be directly related to the mandate of the AEFAA.

  • Files should not be shared with an AEFAA non-member unless the member who uploaded the file provides express permission.

  • If members have any questions about the files and how they can be used, they should contact the member who uploaded the file directly.
